Reddening (Recommended)

Posted on July 2, 2010November 14, 2020 by Ed Medley

I have just finished up my new Geopractitioner website and am now ready to go back to goofing off. But I finished up a little flushed with pride having written a Testimonials page with some sub pages to host the nice stuff people have written about my work…

About a year ago I was fired by Geosyntec Consultants for not being profitable enough. I recall one rather sad day about a week later when I was feeling a little worthless. But being proactive, I worked on my LinkedIn profile to organize my large network. Networking: It’s one the things you have to do when you are fired, see? Anyway, fired up and fired, I fired off some requests to my Contacts for Recommendations to complete my Profile.

Within 15 minutes Recommendations came rolling in to my LinkedIn page. By the end of the day I had more than 20 trophies. I recall feeling over-joyed and well-loved and even a bit profitable…
