Pencil Sharpener?

I am working for a few days at a high tech firm populated by lots of engineers and scientists. Folk are so high tech so that low tech is likely banished. Or so it seems. I have spent an inordinate amount of time wandering around the building looking for a pencil sharpener. The stationery room has lots of pencils but no sharpeners. Some people have pencils but they don’t use use them because they can’t sharpen them.

I suspect that the youngsters do not know what a pencil sharpener looks like. So here for them is a picture.

Up to this morning I would not have imagined a world where people do not know about pencil sharpeners.

Now I can. I feel a bit old.
