Coming to Warsaw (On a Train)

Posted on October 25, 2008May 23, 2009 by Ed Medley

Horses (still) with ploughs,
dust, red seats
and old ladies planting
small neat yellow potatoes.

Trees have small neat
yellow leaves (fall).

Stations with names!
Try to say with ń and ż and
other fumble tongue letters.

Watch watching, will
be only 40 minutes until
unjam the train and
struggle off with all that
weight to smell yellow
hair, smile, secret kissing
eyes.

En route to Warsaw, Poland; September, 1985
