Being Bilbo

Posted on May 20, 2009May 20, 2009 by Ed Medley

While lecturing in Phoenix I met Randy Post, editor-in-chief of the GeoPrac.net website. GeoPrac is a superb portal for geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists and our ilk, which is why I have provided a link to it on my site.

Randy liked my lecture so much that he drove home to Tucson from Phoenix that evening, mixed a Martini and wrote up a charming blog “There and back Again – Ed Medley“. The piece is flattering, funny and perceptive, likening me to Bilbo Baggins in Lord of the Rings (which for youngsters in the Harry Potter epic of my generation).

Thank you Randy.
