Hit Upon

My bimrocks.geoengineer.org site has been reporting visitor counts and statistics for 4 years. To date here have been almost 19,000 page hits, 10,400 Unique Visitors, and 1,080 Returning Visitors from all over the world.  Some people linger for hours on that site; perhaps they download the free bimrocks stuff I provide on the site.

Three days ago I installed a statistic counter routine into my WordPress code for edmedley.com. I installed similar codes for my bimrocks.com and geopractitioner.com sites.

After 4 years I know that the bimrocks.geoegineer.org is not interesting to most people. So, when I created my other three sites, I assumed that there would be little interest in their content either. And so it has largely proved: geopractitioner has had about 5 hits in the last three days; and bimrocks.com has enjoyed 3 hits.

But edmedley.com has had almost 200 hits in three days. Visitors came from 28 countries including USA, Canada, Quatar, Germany, UK, Laos, Poland, Singapore, Venezuela. I have friends in a few of these places, but I cannot explain hits from Montenegro or Finland or South Africa. Few folk linger more than a second of two, so I assume that the reason I am being hit upon is that these are Lost Souls sent to me via their Google searches. My Princess Kaiulani post is relatively popular with hit-and-run folk. I am pleased; it is a sweet piece.

Anyway: I feel blessed by random hits. You are welcome to hit upon me again as a Returning Visitor.

About Ed Medley

Ed Medley has been on a random walk for over 40 years. Many scribbles and snapshots at this site are from his vagabond transits; others are from his 40 years of international experience in geological and geotechnical engineering, academia, and mineral exploration prospecting.
